Linkedin's new group posting functionality

Linkedin has just quietly released new functionality within their groups function. Group members can now post jobs on the groups page...... for free!
This will provide great opportunities to target your job advertisements towards groups of individuals with specific interests and skill sets. Some groups of interest:
- PeopleSoft Professionals - 4,700 members
- Vancouver Digital Marketing - 161 members
- Sales & Marketing VP / Directors - 7,368 members
- Retail Industry Professionals Group - 21,041 members
I'm not sure what Linkedin's strategy is here..... They currently have a job board that they charge $195 US per 30 day posting. Our previous experience with Linkedin's job board and postings has not delivered the candidate quality we look for in a niche board. The group job posting functionality may provide a unique opportunity for increased posting revenue.
