Case Study: Saving $8,000 per hire in 2009

CEO Mark Smart leads a Canadian electronics design & manufacturing business.  He has 250 staff and is expecting to make 15 new hires in ‘09.  He needs to instigate change among his leadership and drive a renewed focus on core business.

Mark and his CFO did our free recruitment evaluation session and have decided to cut recruitment costs per hire from $12,600 to $4,500 by outsourcing this non-core business function to one of Canada's fastest growing companies, MindField Group.  

Mark's current annual recruitment costs at 15 hires/year:

  • $135,000 on FTE:  1.5 HR staff processing resumes, posting ads at $60k salary + on-costs per FTE
